i've got the munchis

com tam bi trung (left) is probably one the best things since longsilog (right), but what I love about both is that even though they both come from different parts of Asia they still send my tastebuds into a frenzy.

same thing goes for music (it sends my tastebuds into a frenzy, lol). and tastiest tunes i've been obsessing over come from munchi, an artist from Rotterdam. through his diverse cultural background the kid has fused multiple genres into several new super genres that murder dancefloors on a global scale.

not too long ago munchi dropped the aptly tittled 'murda sound' on t&a records, and on top of all that hype dirty south joe made a 'munchi-mix' comprised of tunes that will familiarize y'all with this talented producer (right-click/save-as the photo on the right).

i'm super interested to see the success of this up and coming producer. his skills on remixing datsik's 'firepower' and reworking kelis' 'milkshake' into a 140+ bpm baltimore club-kuduro hybrid has shown me that he's got some tricks up the sleeve and is gonna be dropping some more serious bangers in the near future.

now that the right people are taking notice, aka mad decent and now t&a records, munchi will be frequenting your favorite music blogs very soon. much like the partysquad, i have much faith that munchi will not disappoint on the dancefloor and will be making much more solid tropical sub-bass focused music.

thats about it for me though, i'm on the hunt for a new(ish) desktop that'll run windows-xp to begin the next phase in my musical career, producing! :D

ps... here's a mix of mine from waxmuseumradio.com in the meantime, enjoy!
