Its pretty much going to be the motto of every pubescent boy who holds a mic and makes music on their best friend's mom's shitty desktop computer. 2008, in my opinion, was a shit year. It was nothing like 2006 or 2007 where we witnessed some of the worst music and some of the best music being generated. But in 2008 we saw Lil' Payne in my ass sell close to a mil in a week, KanYe release an almost career halting album drenched in vocoder, and the beginning of the comeback of pop princess Titney Spears. We also saw the overhyped election of Obama, every nation on the Earth economies fall, and the Olympics.
I have a few resolutions but thats not important. what is important is that the blog stays afloat, more GOOD music being reported on, and the launching of some secret projects that the crankdat.blog will have exclusive access to.
This year I think Dubstep will continues its gradual progression into the mainstream alongside my re-found fondness of drum and bass. A shit load more parties, more famous people, and a clothing line? haha maybe you'll just have to wait and see.
Im not going to review 2008 as every other blog has, and also because we cant look back...we're too busy planning our next ten steps! So get ready for some next level cleverness from this speck of dust on the hardwood floor of the internet's humble abode.
