Bonus Bongo Jam FTW!

Funky House, whether you know it or not you may have come into contact with this rapidly progressive genre. During my stint here in the jolly old I've gone to countless nights where DJ's get the crowd (women especially) in a sensual seduction (lolz), where all you want to do is dance the night away and sweat on other hot people. One group in particular has stuck out of the possible hundreds of Funky House collectives and they are:
the Crazy Cousinz.

Consisting of cousins Paleface (who DJs on London's Rinse FM), Flukes, Play, and DJ Kodi. The group of cousins has hit the ground running since the success of their tunes "Bongo Jam" (video below) featuring Big Brother UK's Calista, and the remix to "Do You Mind?" featuring the vocal talent of Kyla. I'm sure the quartet have had more tunes on the underground circuit but for the duration of time that I've been here in England these two singles are doing the most damage in the dance.

Expect to hear much more of this music when I return to the States on my radio show and in future mixes. Oh, and other artists/DJs in the genre include ex grime MC, Donaeo, whose had success with such Funky House tunes as, "African Warrior," and "Devil In A Blue Dress." And DJ Marcus Nasty, co-founder of the now defunct Grime collective N.A.S.T.Y. Crew. Marcus Nasty also DJs on Rinse FM every Wednesday from 7-9 (UK time).
